A letter to Nikolina and Tomislav…

To my new husband, thank you for everything that you are. Tommy, you are incredibly kind. You're selfless. You make friends with anyone, and you always see the best in people. Every day, you make me want to be a better person, and you're truly everything that I've ever prayed for and more. You are not only my husband, but you're my best friend, my greatest blessing, and I'm so excited to start this new chapter together.

To my mom, who is the heart of our family. She was behind the magic of every single childhood memory that we have. She is my best friend, and she is the person that I know I can call for everything, which I do very often. The two of you have given all of yourself to being parents, and I know that God couldn't have blessed me with better parents.

Now, I've known Nikki for a long time. She always has always been the most responsible, thoughtful, punctual, organized human being I've ever met. Tommy, we can all agree, I think, a bit more relaxed on the punctuality scale. But somehow it works. God clearly knew what he was doing. Or, more accurately, Tiffany did. Tiffany literally wished for her friend to marry her brother. And honestly, she nailed it. Nikki and Tommy are proof that not only do opposites attract, they balance each other. Together, they just make sense.

Kume, you found yourself a woman that is not only stunningly beautiful, as we can all see, but she also has a good head on her shoulders, she knows what she wants and is capable of anything she puts her mind to. So the question is, how did she end up with you? Jokes aside, I know exactly why she settled on you.

Mama, you keep the family together. You make us laugh. You're the heart of the family, and I love you very much. Tata came to Canada many years ago with not much and created very many things in his life, and I look up to you unbelievably and, again, love you very much. I can't put into words how much I love you and how much you guys have done for me throughout my life growing up.

To my little brother, Johnny, growing up with you has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. I am incredibly grateful to not only call you my brother but one of my closest friends.

Tomislav and Nikolina, the day of joy, beauty. God himself has invited us to witness the sacrament where two hearts, two lives become one.

I, Tomislav, take you, Nikolina, to be my wife. I promise to be faithful to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love you and to honour you all the days of my life.

Dear friends, Tomislav and Nikolina. Today, you promise to love each other for better or worse, in sickness and in health, all the days of your life. So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.

It is my great honour to welcome you all here tonight to celebrate the love and union of Tomislav and Nikolina. This is the moment we've all been waiting for. So wave those napkins high, make some noise, and give it up for the brand new Mr. and Mrs. Tomislav and Nikolina Kadak.

Tommy is the most loyal friend I've ever known. There has never been a doubt in my mind that Tommy would have always have my back if I needed him. Kume, thanks for being such a great friend all these years. Tomislav is a man who knows the value of hard work. Kadak has always been committed to doing the best he can in whatever he does. And I have no doubts that he will be ready to put the work in to make you the happiest wife he possibly can.

To my parents, walking down the aisle towards the easiest yes of my life was everything that I ever dreamed of. But in the same moment, it was hard letting go of the arm of the man that I've held on to for my entire life, my dad. My dad has always been my biggest supporter and has believed in me even when I didn't believe in myself. Tommy, you've got some big shoes to fill.

Nikki, ženo, I'm proud of you. You're smart, loving, caring, beautiful, ambitious, and I love you so much, and I can't wait to begin this chapter together with you.
