A letter to Danielle and Anthony…

Danielle, standing here today looking at you, I'm the luckiest man in the world. From the moment I truly got to know you, I saw exactly who you were. Someone warm, someone confident, someone who goes after what she wants. As I look to our future, I think about our family. You, me, Molly, and one day, our kids. And I already know that our children are going to thank me one day for choosing you to be their mom. I love you, Danielle, today, forever and always.

You've grown into a beautiful woman with a big heart, a sharp mind, and a kindness that shows up not just in big moments but every single day. The way you love your family, the way you show up for your friends, the way you take care of others without ever needing recognition. That is the part of you we admire most. And somewhere along the way, she met a good Italian boy named Anthony. We could not have chosen a better man to stand beside Danielle as her husband. From the first time we met you, we saw a kind, respectful, grounded young man. But more importantly, we saw the way you looked at our daughter, and parents notice those things. You bring out the very best in her. You make her laugh. You support her. You stand beside her as an equal. And the happiness we see in her when she's with you, that is everything to us.

Family to me has always started with 29 incredible years of being Anthony's little sister. They say that a girl's best friend is her older brother, and Anthony, that's exactly who you are, just as Mom and Dad have always wanted. You've always been the person I look up to most, my first call, my partner in mischief, and my confidant. Anthony, Mom and Dad have always said that this is exactly who you've always been. Thoughtful, curious, and full of heart. Anthony, one of the things we admire most about you is how consistent you've always been. The way you love, the way you show up, and the way you protect the ones you care so much about, that has never changed. You are steady. You are solid. And for Mom and Dad, watching you grow into a man whose character hasn't shifted with time, whose loyalty and heart has always remained the same, has been one of their greatest joys. And while Anthony has been the person I've been incredibly proud to call my older brother, my dad's greatest accomplishment, and my mom's absolute favorite, it is so clear to our family that his life and our family became even brighter the day Danielle became a part of it. Danielle, you are the sister I didn't know I needed. Anthony is calmer, happier, and completely himself because he gets to love you and be loved by you.

Danielle and Anthony, before we go further today, we stand together because your lives have crossed in this life. Today, their relationship changes as all of us know it will grow. It will become stronger and better. So today is a day of hope. We met 8 years ago at 22 and 26, just kids, young and in love. We have grown so much since then, and I'm so proud of the man standing before me.
