Here at Parallel Weddings, we were absolutely thrilled to capture Katie and Jeff's beautiful wedding day back in September 2017, a day that unfolded across several lovely locations in the Barrie and Wasaga Beach areas, concluding with a wonderful celebration near Egbert.
The day began with preparations starting around 10:00 AM, with the bride getting ready at in Wasaga Beach, while the groom was at his family home elsewhere in Wasaga Beach.
CEREMONY
The wedding ceremony took place at 2:30 PM at St. John Vianney in Barrie. It was a Catholic ceremony, filled with touching moments including the aisle walks, their first kiss as a married couple, and the cheer and exit from the church. During the ceremony, heartfelt words were shared. In a letter, Jeff spoke directly to Katie, writing "Katelyn Elizabeth chase our day has finally arrived" and looking forward to meeting her at the altar, adding "I cannot wait to make you my wife." Katie also expressed her excitement, saying in her letter "cannot believe the day I get to become your wife is finally here." The exchange of vows was equally moving. Jeff promised, "I cannot wait to see you and hold your hand I cannot wait to make you my wife I promise to love you and care for you always be honest with you, kind, patient and forgiving. Most of all I promise to be a true and loyal friend". Katie responded with deep affection, sharing,
"I'm truly honored to become your wife today and I will cherish this day and our marriage for the rest of my life."
BARRIE WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY
PHOTOSHOOT
Following the ceremony, the wedding party headed to Sunnidale Park in Barrie for their photoshoot, which was scheduled from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The day was beautifully captured by Kristin Peereboom Photography, working alongside our videography team.
RECEPTION
The evening celebration kicked off at 6:45 PM with the reception at Drysdale's Tree Farm at 6635 Simcoe County Rd 56 in Egbert, a lovely Barn Venue. The reception was full of joy, including speeches from loved ones. Jeff's mother shared her pride, saying "I just want you to know that your father and I are so very proud and you, we’ve had the privilege of watching you grow into the great man that you are". The best man added some humour, remarking "may have taken Jeff 20 years but just finally admitted that I'm the best man," and offering a classic piece of marriage advice: "you don't marry the person you can live with you marry the person you can't live without." The reception continued late into the night, concluding at 1:30 AM.
OUR COVERAGE
Our team, including videographers Branden Murphy and Michael Lazzaro, worked to capture all the visual moments, from the getting ready stages for both the bride and groom, the key ceremony events, the photoshoot set-ups, and the lively reception events like speeches and dancing. Michael Lazzaro also took on the role of film editor to craft their beautiful wedding film. Capturing the audio, such as the speeches and letters read, was also a key part of creating their comprehensive wedding video.
Katie and Jeff's wedding at Drysdale's Tree Farm was a truly memorable day, and we loved creating a cinematic film and event videos for them to relive it all. It was a privilege for our Toronto based team to be a part of their special day and document their story through wedding videography.
