A letter to Archana and Vivek…

To my wife on our wedding day. Dear Archana, I'm writing this letter to tell you that I love you. Honestly, if you had asked me a year ago if I knew this day would come, I would say yes. You are my best friend. You are genuinely the only person that I talk to with any degree of regularity. You're really smart and insanely beautiful. We've grown together a lot in these past three and a half years. You are the love of my life, and I hope that I can show you that every single day for the rest of our lives.

Thank you for coming. Thank you for joining us in this auspicious occasion of joiners as we are celebrating the happiness with our son and daughter. I'm very happy because now today I had only one son, and now I got a daughter. Now my family is complete.

Archana is the most caring, responsible, and selfless person we all know. Archana is thoughtful, intentional, and gives her whole heart to everything and everyone she loves. Watching you together is something truly special. There's so much laughter, respect, comfort, and joy between you. The kind of bond that's built on deep relationships, shared values, and a little good nature teasing. Archana, you've grown into the most incredible woman: strong, smart, kind, full of grace. I'm proud of you every single day. And today, I'm overwhelmed with love and gratitude that you've found someone who supports you and that loves you like you deserve.

As I've grown up with Vivek, I've always known him to be someone who's kind, considerate, and always helping friends and family when and where he can. I remember the first time I met Archana, someone who can equally match him in his humor, consideration, and reliability, but someone who can also push Vivek into gear to really bring out his full potential. This is exactly who Vivek needs in his life.

To my husband on our wedding day, I know the path to us getting to this day has not been linear, and it's been quite emotional, but we made it to the finish line. Today is our day. It's a day we've been working towards since we first met. Let's make memories and celebrate with those we love the most.

On behalf of both of the families, we welcome all of you to this extremely auspicious event. Today is the day when two families are becoming one. Cultures are becoming one. Two souls, Vivek, are becoming one, and every single person who is seated here is truly, truly blessed to be a part of this union, to witness this union happening.

From now on, your lives are joined, your destinies are joined, and your future is joined forever.

Some would call this happenstance of circumstances, blind luck, a fluke, but I believe we would have found each other one way or another because that's what soulmates do.

Vivek, from the moment we matched on Hinge, I knew there was something different about you. It was that you noticed the little things. You listen, and I mean really listen. Sometimes I now even feel like you know me better than I know myself. I promise to always choose you.

You always choose me. I promise that I will always choose you.

I promise to keep pushing you towards your dreams.

I promise to always try to cheer you up when you are down. I promise to use fewer words and focus on taking more actions.

I promise to grow with you as the years go by.

I vow to always be there for you. I love you, Archana, more than anything in this world, and I'm happy beyond belief that I will be your husband too.

As for the Hindu rituals once mangalsutra and sindoor are applied they are officially Mr. and Mrs.

Archana is our youngest, and when I reflect on the little girl she once was, it's incredible to see the strong, confident young woman she has become. She has always been incredibly caring, and there have been countless moments when I have felt like she's like my mom in my life, always looking out for me no matter what. I'm beyond happy to welcome Vivek into our family as my second son. This is the start of a beautiful new chapter for both of you. May God bless you both, filling your life with love, laughter, and countless wonderful memories.

When I look at her right now sitting behind me, I'm reminded of a beautiful journey we had. From the first few steps she took as a child to the academic achievements she has done, she always impressed us with her determination and strength. Archana, you're truly extraordinary, and seeing you today fills my heart with immense pride and joy.

In all the time I've known Vivek, he's always the first one to drop whatever he's doing at the drop of a hat to come and help out anybody who does need a hand. Over the last three years, Archana, you've really brought the best out of him. You've made him more organized, more driven, and somehow even presentable.

Now I want to take a few moments to say a few words. July 3rd and 4th were fantastic dates based on many religious reasons, but above all, July 4th is also my nana and nani's wedding anniversary. My nana and nani have been married for 57 years. Today, I'd like to appreciate them and all the sacrifices they've made and the part they've played in mine and Vivek's life and love story as well. The love you have given us has been everything. Vivek and I love you so very much.

Today I promise to love you because you're my best friend and my life partner. And after today, I get to call you my husband as well. I love you.
