A letter to Alexa and Aaron…

Aaron, you know what to do. 1, 2, 3, mazel tov!

Alexa, you've been there for me. You've loved me unconditionally. I promise to believe in you, and I promise to walk alongside you down the long road that lays ahead of us.

Alexa, I love you. Obviously, the best older sister ever. I actually remember—10 or 12 years old—Alexa pulled me into her room. It was like one of the goals this year I wrote in my journal, that I want to become closer with you. And that meant a lot to me. And ever since then, I feel like our relationship has truly taken off.

Brendan, you've grown into a brilliant, funny, and multifaceted young man who I'm proud to call my little brother.

You're the kindest, sweetest, hardworking individual I know. So you guys are perfect.

Aaron, we've watched you grow into the incredible young man you are today. From a young age, your passion for sports and storytelling was clear. And here I go. We're so proud of your determination and dedication you've shown to follow your passion into your career as a sports journalist. As a father, there's no better feeling than enjoying your child's success. We thought tonight would be a perfect time to talk about the game of your life.

In the first quarter of Aaron's life, we were training him to be a diehard Ohio State Buckeye fan.

O-H-I-O! O-H-I-O!

Sam, being your older brother has been a stressful experience, but you only worry about the people you care about. And for me, that's you. You live life to the fullest, and in this life we should all learn a little something from my little brother. Sam, I love you.

We are so proud of you and the beautiful woman you have become.

Sarah and I are firm believers that fate plays a big part in life, because we met at a summer camp in 1984. Aaron and Alexa first met 10 years ago on a bus ride to Camp Timberlake.

Aaron and Alexa speak the whole way to camp. They go their separate ways for 5 years, and they meet up the old-fashioned way—on a dating app—and the rest is history. Aaron, we are so excited to welcome you into our family. We love you and know that you will have a magical life together.

Alexa, as your older brother, it is a joy and an honour to see you be loved by someone so much, to be in your own bag so much career-wise. Their ambition for their careers was extremely high, but they matched that ambition in how much effort they put into their relationship. So I couldn't be more happy to have you guys.

Alexa, today we start a new chapter in our lives together. You've been there for me. You've loved me unconditionally, and I promise to do the same for you. I promise to push you to achieve your dreams and then some. And I promise to walk alongside you down the long road that lays ahead of us.

Aaron is the definition of a great friend. Will always give honest feedback. Always there to take a call, to provide advice. I'm thankful to have him. Wishing you nothing but success.

Your confidence, your independence—that's something that I think has always been really impressive. Very happy to have you as a friend, man.

I'm so thrilled for you guys to be together. It's been amazing to see, and I can't wait for that to continue.

He never lets go. He's always interested in reaching and striving for more, and he makes you want to be a better, more interesting person just by being around. To Aaron, Alexa!

We're going to have a lot of fun tonight. This is the beginning of what is going to be the best night of your lives. Our job is to fulfill a mitzvah—[Hebrew]—to make sure that this is a night that is pure joy for the bride and groom. This is a moment of prayer, so I want you to say words from the heart.

I want you to take the veil, and you place it over her face.

Aaron, you are my home. You make me feel safe, protected, and deeply loved, and I promise to do the same for you. Our ability to be completely and utterly ourselves in front of one another is something I truly cherish.

I promise to believe in you. I promise to cherish you and appreciate you. I vow to dance with you when everyone's watching and nobody is.

Do you take Alexa to be your wife, promising to love, honour, cherish her as long as you both shall live? I do.

Alexa, take a good look at what you're getting. Do you take that to be your husband? I do.

Behold, you are holy to me as my wife according to the laws of Moses and the people Israel.

I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine.

You have surpassed every hope and expectation I ever had. I trust you with my entire soul. I'm truly obsessed with you and how we love each other. Most importantly, we share mutual love and respect for one another that is rare to find in this lifetime. I promise I will never stop loving you or challenging you to reach for your biggest dreams. I love you.

I don't know what tomorrow will bring, or the day after that, but I know I'm ready to find out with you by my side.

1, 2, 3, mazel tov!

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Aaron and Alexa's wedding. Make some noise for Aaron and Alexa.

Mom, you're the strongest, most loving human I know, and I hope one day to be half as good a mom as you are. Mom, I love you.

Dad, you are a role model for how to be a father, and I hope one day my children look up to me the way I look up to you.

Dad, you are so hardworking, but you never complain, and I admire that. You go above and beyond for the ones you love, and I will always be your little girl. Dad, I love you.

Mom, you are the kindest, friendliest, and most amazing person we know, and we are all so lucky to have you in our lives. I love you.

Aaron and Alexa, we know that one day, when you're old and gray, you'll look back on your lives together. Your time as a married couple will be the highlight of it all. You'll cherish the small moments. You'll laugh and always cheer each other on. You'll communicate and be a team. You'll trust each other. You'll coach each other. And most of all, you'll love each other.
