Smita and Denis's Words of Love at Chronicle Brewing Company in Bowmanville, Ontario
Denis, you have never failed in making me smile every day that I've known you. We've had a lot of adventures together. I love how you embrace my culture and want to learn more, and how attached you’ve become to my family. I've never met a more generous man. I will spend the rest of my life trying to show you how grateful I am that you chose me. I can't wait to go on more adventures, now only as newlyweds.
Smita is honestly one of the kindest, most caring, and giving people that I know. The fact that you found the exact same person in Denis is amazing. They love each other, and you can see that. I'm so, so happy to be welcoming Denis into our family, and I can't wait to see how their love grows.
I'm Denis's younger brother, and I feel like I see him in a different light than the rest of you being a younger brother. Everyone normally sees him as, you know, a great upstanding guy. I see him as a tormentor, but I'm starting to see that no, he does all these things to me to make me a better man—someone that a younger brother can only look up to. And I see that he's done that to everyone here. Every person that he's touched, he's tried to make into a better person, whether they know it or not.
I'd like to propose a toast to the bride and groom. Let us raise our glass to Smita and Denis for the beginning of a wonderful journey of togetherness.

Earlier today, there was a ceremonial exchange of vows and the official Hindu marriage of Denis and Smita. At this time, there will be an exchange of wedding rings. Smita, please take this ring and place it on Denis's left hand. Denis, please take this ring and place it on Smita's left hand.
Denis, you may now kiss your bride.
Denis and Smita, they met, they went to a restaurant together. That first date was April 21st, 2017, and that's the day that our life has changed because he brought a beautiful star into our home and our family, and she shines every time we see her.
My daughter came one day at home and said, 'I'm in love with them.' I said, 'Okay, let's see your love.' Then we met them, and I surprised by her choice. I didn't have that in my mind before. It's her choice, and it was not bad, so I accepted.
To Smita, I promise to stand beside you as your best friend and your husband. I promise to love you, cherish you, and protect you from whatever may come. I will always be there for you. I will always be your greatest cheerleader. I love you very much.
