Allison and Justin's Words of Love at Trillium Resort in Port Sydney, Ontario

It feels surreal that the day we have dreamed about for so long is finally here. The day we met somehow feels like yesterday and a lifetime ago at the same time. I couldn't be more excited to marry you in front of our friends and family today. I'm so proud of the man that you are, and I can't wait to call myself your wife. I'm sure that today will go by fast, so take a deep breath and take it all in.

When I first met Justin, I didn't like him. Looking back, though, I see it as one of the many times Justin has helped me and bettered myself as a person by showing me that there's more than meets the eye and opening myself up a bit. If you needed honest logical advice with pros and cons, Justin was your guy, and he's still mine to this day. He's always been there for all of us, and we all love you for it. The dude is now what I consider a brother, and I don't know where I'd be without you, man.

They say love is not in the words you say but in the little things you do, and I know that rings true because my love for you is far more than my vocabulary can describe. You're the smartest, the funniest, and the most beautiful and loving person. I am incredibly lucky and thankful that, in a few short hours, I am going to officially be able to call you my wife.

Justin's always been a good friend. He's always been a person you can actually talk to and who would actually listen to you, and he would actually have good advice for you. You could tell him anything, and you could tell he cared. I'm so thankful to have a friend like Justin who I know has helped build me up to make me stronger, better, and the person standing before you today.

To our parents, Don and Paul, Shelly and Bob, there aren't enough words to express our thanks for your ongoing love and support that has brought us to this moment. Each of you has shaped our relationship in some way, whether it be that we picked up a new phrase from you that makes us laugh, or a tradition that we have since adopted into our own lives, and everything else in between. We're beyond thankful and grateful to call you our family. 'Thank you' is a very small phrase to convey our gratitude and to say how lucky we are to have been raised by you and to have learned from you what a strong and loving marriage entails. We both couldn't imagine joining a more supportive and welcoming family. Each of us being part of one another's family for the past nine years has been enough time to know that this is where we are meant to be and that the rest of our lives will be filled with adventure, love, laughter, and family dinners over great food, wine, beer, and the odd Scotch.

I can see you two over the years have not just been together, you've also grown together. You've loved each other and made each other better, and that's so important – to support and help each other grow in all aspects of life, whether it's in school and furthering your knowledge or learning a new skill or hobby, to encourage each other's dreams and ambitions.

You are truly my best friend, and I cannot wait to see you walk down the aisle for the next chapter of our lives to begin. I love you so much, Allison. See you soon, love Justin.

Surely, you shall say a few words that will take you across a threshold of life, and things between you will never quite be the same. For after today, you shall say to the world, 'This is my husband, this is my wife.'

Justin, on a day in September nine years ago, fate would have it that I would meet a charming blond-haired, blue-eyed boy at the College gym. I didn't know that meeting you that day would be the beginning of love forever, but it didn't take me long to realize it.

From the very first moment I laid eyes on you, I couldn't help but notice you. Unknown to me at the time, I didn't just meet a good-looking lady that day, I met my best friend, my love, and my future wife.

A few dates were all it took to learn that your laugh was absolutely contagious, your words were gentle and kind, and something about you felt like home. I love the way you talked to people, the way you treated your friends and family, and most of all, the way you cared for me. Loving you is effortless and easy, and to this day, it still is. You're my best friend, my biggest supporter, and I know that I'll never have to face anything alone as long as I have you.

You have been my biggest supporter and my one constant in this crazy world. You're the smartest, most beautiful, thoughtful, and passionate person I know, and you can do anything and have done everything you set your mind to. Laughing with you is my favourite pastime, and you're the only person I can truly be my silliest around. You bring out the best in me, and I'm forever honoured to call you my wife.

You're my person, and as your wife, I vow to you today and always: to always laugh at your lame jokes, no matter how many times I hear them; to continue spending our evenings cuddling on the couch and drinking our favourite wine; to always match your level of weird, or at least try; to always make space for adventure and romance; and to be your unwavering support through every stage of raising our children, to stand with you in sickness and health, and to help you bear any burden.

I'm incredibly lucky, and I'm so proud to stand by your side today. I'm not only looking forward, but I'm excited and hopeful to start our family together.

Please join me in welcoming them in their first moments as Mr. and Mrs. Allison and Justin Walmsley. Justin, kiss that girl!

As Allison's parents, we have always supported Allison's endeavors from her early years. We're very proud of you, and here you are today, the most beautiful bride on your special day. May your love be modern enough to survive the times we live in and old-fashioned enough to last forever. What a great day! Justin, you are an all-around good man, and we are so happy and privileged to have had you a part of our family.

Justin came home from school one day, spontaneously gave me a gift. I don't know if you remember this, Justin, and he traded my homemade chocolate chip cookies for this. On the back of it, he scratched, 'Best Mom, love you.' I have treasured this, and it sat on my bedroom mirror, and I saw it every day ever since he gave it to me.

Allison Grace, today here in front of our family and our friends, I promise to keep our lives full of excitement, adventures, and fun conversations, to laugh with you when times are good, to cry with you when times are bad, and to grow with you in times of change.

Justin, I love you and the life that we have made together, and I'm so excited for what's yet to come. I'm honored to marry you today; you are the joy of my life.

To love and respect you for who you are now and who you have yet to become, and to be there with you forever and always.
